在一般鋁板中固溶強化較常用的合金元素是銅、鎂、錳、鋅、硅、鎳等元素。一般鋁板的合金化都構成有限的固溶體，如Al-Cu，Al-Mg，Al-Zn，Al-Si，Al-Mn等二元合金均構成有限固溶體，而且都有較大的極限溶解度能起較大的固溶強化效果。
Copper, magnesium, manganese, zinc, silicon and nickel are the most commonly used alloying elements in solution strengthening of general aluminium sheets. Generally, the alloying of aluminium sheets constitutes a limited solid solution, such as Al-Cu, Al-Mg, Al-Zn, Al-Si, Al-Mn binary alloys, which constitute a limited solid solution, and have a greater limit solubility to play a greater solid solution strengthening effect.
通過強化的鋁板，其硬度功能都會得到顯著提升，但是其硬度無法一向提升下去；當達到硬度上限的時分，不管何種辦法，都無法繼續進步鋁板的硬度，只能選擇基礎硬度就更高的牌號。
